Netwater Diving

Net…what? 🙂

Networking is a lot like diving because you have to put yourself in the mindset to go all in or it won’t work out so well. Think about diving or simply jumping into the water. Can you start the jump and change your mind halfway through? No. You have to go with it!

The key to successful networking is having a plan. Know who’s going and strategize on how to connect with the people who will get you where you need to go! Otherwise you’re just haphazardly getting wet in the “net-water” – Choosing to dive is the first step. This means you will bring your whole self and give it all you have. The plan helps you navigate the waters so you come out with the treasure you need to make the dive a success!

This takes practice, but the benefits outweigh the effort to learn.

One part abandon and release, other part strategy and control.
